Designers once spent hours arranging static pixels. Today, AI helps wireframe, prototype, and generate visuals in seconds.

Product managers are using tools like v0.dev to create prototypes instantly. Designers use the same tools to wireframe ideas faster than ever. It raises a real question: will we still use static design tools like Figma in the future? Or will designers simply vibe code — prompting AI to generate interfaces from design systems?

The real advantage will go to the tools that can tap into robust design systems — and the designers who know how to prompt them. In this world, the designer’s role shifts from pushing pixels to directing feelings and orchestrating experiences that resonate.

Knowing People is Knowing AI

As Ethan Mollick puts it, “If you know people, you will know AI.” AI is trained on our words, ideas, and patterns — it mirrors us. So the secret to using AI is still deeply human: understand people. The best results come when humans bring context, taste, and emotion to guide AI’s speed and recognition.
